Festival: Sziget 2002

Een van de grootste festivals van Europa. Duurt een week lang, heeft ongelooflijk veel podia (30) en acts (800) en is dankzij de goedkope (drank) prijzen een erg interessante vakantiebestemming.

During yesterdays press conference, Sziget organizers released a load of new official information. They have confirmed all but 2 of our unofficial performers, and mentioned that Pulp is also coming to Sziget.

It seems as though Pulp is the only Main Stage performer that was not previously on our unofficial list. Of course, it is important, that many of the artists on our list have now been officially confrimed (except two: Alexander Balanescu and Tiamat).

Main Stage performers include The Cure, Muse, Die Toten Hosen, HIM, Nightwish, Sergent Garcia, Mambo Kurt, Stereo Mc's, Herbalizer, Kosheen, Transglobal Underground, The Gathering, The 69 Eyes, and Ska P.

Among the World Music Mainstage headliners The Klezmatics, Mory Kante, Natacha Atlas, Boban Markovic Orkestar, Baaba Maal, Radio Tarifa, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Cesaria Evora, Femi Kuti, and Hendningarna the organizers promised the arival of many promising new stars from all over the world.

Gamma Ray, Edguy, Amorphis, Doro, Blaze, Savatage, and Kreator will perform at the Metal Hammer Stage.

The Wan2 Stage (a.k.a. Wanted Stage) will include (among others) concerts by Uk Subs (UK), Al Gringo and the Psychobilly Krautboys on Moonshine (D), Ozric Tentacles (UK), UHT (F), Roy Paci & Aretuska (I), Cosmik Connection (F), Tito and Tarantula (USA-Mex), and Marcel et son Orchestra (F).
