Access To Amsterdam (A2A) 2001
A2A music conference will bring the music back into the business. A2A is basically a
combination of a seminar, showcases and various workshops. It is meant to be
different from other European conventions such as PopKomm in Cologne (Germany)
and MIDEM in Cannes (France). Aforementioned conventions are mainly aimed at the
professionals within the music industry.
However, A2A should be a meeting place for musicians, talent scouts, buyers and
agents of live music. A2A will open doors to new music through 300 showcases by
artists from all over the world. Ranging from pop, rock to jazz and world music, A2A
won't limit itself to one particular musical genre. Also, at the daytime seminar the
latest industry topics will be discussed in panels, ranging from A&R-driven subjects,
new media, live music, touring, radio et cetera. Special industry presentations will take
place at parties.
